Conveyor Belts

Hey, over at 66 one of our prototypes involves using a conveyor
belt. We're planning on using a sheet of rubber for the actual conveyor, but not having a lot of experience with this type of material we're not quite sure how to join the two edges together (to make sheet into an actual belt). If any one has any suggestions as to how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Please make sure all materials you use are either in the kit of parts or on the additional materials list.

I have checked the Additional materials list, and 1/8 inch thick sheet rubber is an allowed material.
