The image stabilization software made the video like that, and thanks a lot!

Not seeing how that's image stabilization but ok...

I like the use of the gyro to make your drive controls relative to the field. Nice work!

That is interesting...first thing I thought of when I saw the video was you managed to get mecanum performance out of omni wheels. I like what you've done with them. Now, and it looks like you have a bit of practice under your belt, make sure who ever is operating your robot knows the full potential of omnidirectional drivetrains. The drivetrain is only as good as the operator who takes advantage of it, so make sure your operator has plenty of hours (if not days) logged behind the controls. If you can, make a second drivetrain only bot and put the operator through his paces.

we did use image stabilization, you should see the original footage haha, and yes the whole point of this is the use of the gyro to make the drive controls relative to the field

thanks a lot

Yes, our programing and engineering teams have plenty of experience, thats why we were able to get this worked out. Well make sure our driver spends TONS of time getting comfortable and better at driving it,

Thanks for your advice

Field oriented control is a technical achievement no matter which competition you're in. Your programmers should be super proud.

We are in fact proud of what we have acomplished,

Thanks a lot for your comment

Actually, omni-wheels had the capability to perform that way before mecanums did. This is a typical holonomic layout. What is special about it is the field oriented controls.

Also, I could not agree more with the statement that a drivetrain is only as good as its operator.

Thanks a lot for your comments, as stated before we will make sure we have an exelent driver!
