View Full Version : [FF]: Fantasy FIRST Pickem
This one is really easy. Pick who will win what at what events and get points for it. I'm keeping it pretty free form. Anyone is free to play at any time for any event for whatever award you want to pick (you can pick who will win all of them or who simply wins the Chairman's award. Points will be compiled in this thread til the end of the season (so it's a good idea to make picks for all of the awards fora ll the event if you want to win). Picks can be made up until the night before the event.
The points go as follow:
Chairman’s award = 25 points
Engineering Inspiration = 20 points
Regional Champion (3 teams) = 20 points
Rookie All- Star = 20 points
Finalist (3 teams) = 15 points
Woodie Flowers = 15 points
Rookie Inspiration = 15 points
Creativity = 10 points
Quality = 10 points
Industrial Design = 10 points
Innovation in Control = 10 points
Engineering Excellence = 10 points
Judges Award = 10 points
Entrepreneurship = 5 points
Team Spirit = 5 points
Imagery = 5 points
Gracious Professionalism = 5 points
Animation = 5 points
Website = 5 points
Safety = 5 points
So if we're to submit a score sheet it would look like this (2012 FLR will be used as an example)
Chairman’s award = 340
Engineering Inspiration = 1511
Regional Champion (3 teams) = 1126, 191, 1511
Rookie All- Star = 3951
Finalist (3 teams) = 1551, 1559, 340
Woodie Flowers = 578
Rookie Inspiration = 4093
Highest Rookie Seed = 4093
Quality = 191
Industrial Design = 1559
Innovation in Control = 1511
Engineering Excellence = 1126
Judges Award = 3838, 1507
Entrepreneurship = 250
Team Spirit = 3157
Imagery = 1591
Gracious Professionalism = 191
Animation = 340
Website = 191
Safety = 250

Can we do combine teams as with the FF?

No. This one you should do on your own.

Alex complained to me that I gave no rules and thus he did not know what to do.
Any team can be picked for any award (obviously you have to come up with 3 different teams for champions and finalist.
1. You do not have to pick every award. If you see low hanging fruit and only want to pick that by all means do so.
2. You only get points for exact picks. If you picked a team to be a finalist and they end up champion that does not count.
3. There are no deductions for wrong picks. I'm trying to keep this as simple and straightforward scoring wise as possible.
You do not have to pick every event.
4. One submission per event please. We do not need the page cluttered up with several picks.
5. Scoring will be accumulated over the whole season.
Pick away!

I can't quite find the perfect 3 to win, I could pick all 6 bots in the finals, and I think my Finalist picks are stretching it...

As I said in the rules: you will only get credit for correct picks. Putting 6 teams in the finals does nothing.
