My friend came across something that I've now had open on a browser tab all week. This was not created by me and it was probably already shared here, but i thought this was pretty neat: http://frc.heroku.com/ it's a countdown until kickoff
just another quick thing, what are your teams doing in the final week(s) of kickoff? are you just waiting for kickoff to come around?

Scrambling, but not like eggs.

Cleaning up our shop, teaching rookies, and getting enough sleep to last us the next 45 days after Kickoff =P

Building an Arduino controlled countdown timer...
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99036
It will also be re-purposed into a Time until Ship Timer...
Finishing our final off season project and rearanging our machines.
Also it appears that your timer is 6 hours off.:ahh:

That is probably the time until the kickoff in their timezone...

I don't think so. New York is only 3 hours difference from California and the kickoff is broadcasted at only 1 time. 10:30 there 7:30 here. Might just be my computer.

I can't wait to wake up at 4:00 AM and wait in a large auditorium for 3 hours to listen to a long speech before I get the game!
That's not sarcasm. My mom won't let me get up any earlier than 4:00 AM on kickoff day, and I love every bit of waiting and speeches. :D

I always find it fun to sit in a giant room with all of the other Long Island teams and staring at the screen in the same confused look. It's always a bit exciting to see what the people who watched it right next to you will come up with and bring to the sbpli regional. gotta love the spirit of competition

To be specific, I took this skin.
http://jrweinman.deviantart.com/art/Rainmeter-Countdown-Clock-164557997
And I modified it to this
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6865197/rainmeter_countdown_clock_by_jrweinman-d2pz1rh.ini
Which you put in a folder, and put in your rainmeter folder. You can then load the skin.
And I'm using this font (http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Chica_Mono.htm)

Were stripping the 2011 bot to take it for display at JCPenny's national headquarters, and trying to work in enough extra sleep to make up for 6 weeks of none

Thanks for posting this - it's pretty cool stuff (and saved me a lot of time setting it up)... I got it working on mine, and only 5 days, 1 hour, 19 minutes to go...

Oooh! Thanks! Now I have that one, and my Arduino timer! This should be good!
EDIT: I edited the skin to match my theme, and changed the font to Ni7Seg, found here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/5DCD38A1D020155386256DA9007DF506
This is just a simple, seven segment font, that I have found useful for several occasions, including FRC dashboards!
Looks Great!
