Looks like it just needs a few tweaks and it will be ready to go!

Edit: By the way, that trash can is 20" in diameter, 2" larger than the actual hoop, so competition results can be expected to be worse.

Let's see the bot first! :p It may just be a 2006 bot in disguise!

Doesn't matter; the pitching machine is proved to be fairly consistent. Now test it with scuffs, punctures, and chunks missing.

Maybe that is a pitching machine.

I can guarantee that that it isn't the 2006 bot, I heard that that bot caught fire in the middle of the field at Peachtree ::ouch:: . There is no remnant left.
But seriously, it's just a prototype.

That's what I mean.
Obviously its some motors spinning in the background and a person shooting the ball. Pictures or it didn't happen. :o

Nice work thus far!
Make sure you test that thing on a hoop as soon as you can. You will be surprised how relatively small of a target that is.

true.. it is a rule of the internet. pics or nothing happened.
Oh that nasty chain sound from 2006. How about some timing belts and pulleys to quiet it down.

(I'm going under the assumption that it is actually a prototype throwing the balls). How did you build a structure/shooter that fast?

Recycled parts from earlier bots....Not lega for competition, but good for prototyping.

Didn't you all have a shooter on the top of your robot in 2009? I am trying to remember. I am pretty sure you did. If so, that modified would be perfect.
I'm curious - what height were you holding the shooting mechanism at, and how far away from the hoop was it? I'm trying to get a better sense for how that would equate to on the field performance.

Mr. Wilson won a local Woody Flowers award, I would not accuse him of lying. (PS - check out where he works as Lead Engineer http://www.meggitttrainingsystems.com/main.php )

This is definitely real. I can see the corner of the 2009 shooter in the bottom left corner of the screen. Glad to see the shooter is still running strong.
