2012 driver station update will not install

I am trying to install the driver station update on our teams laptop, but whenever I run the setup it gives me an error

"
Developer Error. The following Errors were found in your ini file:
1. Missing Section [Volume Id]

Correct the ini file and try again
"

I have been searching for awhile and have not found any mention of a similar problem.
does anyone know what might be causing this? or how to fix it?

I haven't done any updates, but I'd suggest checking that your laptop has the latest FRC image installed, and that you have a Driver and Developer login.

I am currently trying to set up 2 laptops for my team... One of them is team owned, and has the latest image and the other is being setup mainly as a development laptop (but we decided to try and install the driver stuff for the heck of it).
(the developer one does not have the image, it is being setup as a sort of test... side project... thingy)

Both laptops have handled all the updates perfectly up until now.
They both get exactly the same error.

Problem solved. Apparently the file was corrupt because the computer was tampered with while it was downloading everything. All our teams laptops are now updated and ready to go.
