I've ordered some AndyMark ToughBoxes (http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-0145.htm), for a non-FIRST related competition. What I'm wondering is the holes drilled on the front and back plates of the toughboxes, is there any functionality to having those our can I just plug them up. The competition I'm involved in is the NASA Lunabotics competition (http://www.nasa.gov/lunabotics) and the reason I want to plug up those holes is that there is dust that is kicked up in competition that could cause the gears to degrade in quality if the dust get's in. So is there any reason to not plug those holes up or should I just go for it.
