Unable to get classmate laptop to recognize Crio! first time doing this please help!

One major thing is the static IP eco-system. You need to make sure that you have updated your cRIO with your team number, and your driver station. All of this is gone over in this document; "Getting Started with the 2012 Control System" http://tinyurl.com/74xcwxd
