When running the SmartDashboard, press view/add.../connection indicator,

It will be red if you have no connection and green if you do.

If it is actually red, then make sure you are on the same network as the robot and that your team number is set correctly (that can be changed by going to file/preferences and changing the team number).

Also, make sure that you have some reference to the SmartDashboard on your robot. If the robot doesn't try to use the SmartDashboard, then the SmartDashboard will not connect to the robot.

It works for us without the remote dashboard enabled. However we can not get a feed from the camera to appear.

Make sure your camera allows for anonymous viewing. (It is a setting somewhere in the control panel).

Yes, the camera has been set to allow anonymous viewing. We still have been unable to pull video. It funny because the rest of our dashboard works with no issue.

I don't know how the regular dashboard works, so I'll act as though you are talking about the SmartDashboard

So, for the SmartDashboard, once you have the camera set up on your robot with the right IP address and anonymous viewing, go to view/add.../ and select the camera.

A pink rectangle should appear that says "No Connection". You have to wait about 10 seconds before either the camera image appears or you know that there is no actual connection.

If there is still no connection after 10 seconds, then make sure your SmartDashboard is editable (view/editable) and double-click the pink square. There is the list of properties for the camera. Make sure that the IP address is set correctly.

Tell me if this works. We got it working with no hiccups over at team 3504...

Make sure an account has been setup for the camera with "FRC" as the user and "FRC" as the password.

Yes, all that has been done. We are able to get video when we use default dashboard. Is there any good resource for the Smart Dashboard?
