10:00 AM - Welcome and Overview - Introduction to today's session and a quick overview of the new and changed components of the 2010 Control System.
10:15 AM - Review of C++
10:45 AM - Review of LabVIEW
11:15 AM - Driver Station and Dashboard - Demonstration of the new Classmate driver station and the associated hardware. We'll show how to configure the driver station, how to connect joysticks and other USB devices, e-stop switch, and how to construct custom driver station controls using the new I/O module.
12:00 PM - Lunch Break - Inexpensive lunches will be available at the Campus Center either at our Savage Soccer Robot Tournament or downstairs in the food court.
12:30 PM - Java Language and WPILib - Discussion of the Java language and how WPILib works with it. We'll review the differences between Java and C++ and show the tools used to build, download, and debug Java programs.
1:30 PM - Java Internals and Squawk JVM - The details of memory management, I/O, multi-tasking, and getting maximum program performance from Java.
2:00 PM - Camera and Image Processing - We'll show how to make effective use of the camera and show a 2009 robot program that successfully delivers balls to opponents trailers autonomously with both C++ and Java implementations.
