What is LabVIEW?
LabVIEW is a graphical programming environment that simplifies the tasks of measurement and automation for scientists and engineers. LabVIEW's core language, G, is a data flow language as opposed to an imperative language such as C. For more in-depth information about LabVIEW, please refer to the following links: (http://www.ni.com/labview), (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LabVIEW)

Can I build my VI into a stand-alone binary executable?
The LabVIEW 8.0 Student Edition does not have the capability of compiling a VI so that it can run in a stand-alone mode outside of LabVIEW. We prefer that you share source code as well as good programming practices/techniques.

What are the license restrictions for LabVIEW 8.0 Student Edition for FIRST Teams?
US-FIRST teams are being given an unrestricted license for both Mac and Windows versions of LabVIEW 8.0 Student Edition; this gives a team unlimited seats with the same license/serial number. The only caveat is that we ask that your copy of LabVIEW 8.0 Student Edition only be used for US-FIRST related projects.

Can I remove the watermark from my Front Panel and Diagram windows?
No, you cannot remove the watermark from the LabVIEW 8.0 Student Edition. The watermark is the only real difference between the LabVIEW 8.0 Full Development System (sells for $2,395.00) and the LabVIEW 8.0 Student Edition (sells for less than $80.00).
