The FP-9012 motor has been added to [R48]

So are we going to have a continuous update document? This shows updates from both #1 and #2, doesn't it?

And does anyone else miss the rational that the GDC used to provide for the changes?

No radical changes; If they're not making them now, I doubt they'll make them until Week 1.

I am not expecting any until maybe after week 1 or 2.

I am glad that they posted the fix for the netbook flash drive.

Ahh, the photos make it very clear. If you plan to use the classmate with the screen exposed, you will need the E11 key.

If, however, you want use it with the classmate closed, you need to use the E09 key.:p

Makes perfect sense now.

I don't think this was intentional on their part.

Did everyone see the following in the game update?

Batteries integral to and part of a COTS computing device are also permitted (i.e. laptop batteries), provided they’re only used to power the COTS computing device.

Definitely not a fan of that... If I print this, it's a total waste of paper to reprint old info every week. It's like printing every verse of the 12 days of Christmas 1 verse at a time! :ahh:

Is there any way to just print a section of what I see on the screen?

Yes.

Do a "Print Preview" to find what range of pages to print, and then print just those pages.

In Firefox:

File|PrintPreview

File|Print, then select pages then print

Interesting, they appear to be saying no (traditional) defense at all.

Does that just mean no tipping, or no pushing, showing, getting in the way, etc?

No.

They're saying you can't attach, damage, entangle, or tip the robot, even if you weren't intending on destroying them.

Robot on robot defense, if all contact is within the bumper zone, is fully legal still (provided the defensive robot is not more than 60" tall, and all other related rules such as the offensive robot being in safe zones are followed)

You can only get points for shooting in your hoops. The original could have been interpreted as you get points no matter where you shoot. They changed it so now you can only get points from getting it in your alliance hoops.

attachment is not traditional defense.

damage is not traditional defense.

tipping is not traditional defense.

entanglement? depends on which definition of "entangle" was intended.

As an alternative to Print Preview, highlight the section you would like to print out. After selecting Print, choose "Selection" in the Page Range section of the print dialogue box (the default choice is "All"). No page numbers to remember :D

The way I read it, which, after reading this again (4th time's the charm:o), seems to be different from what was intended, was that any type of "inhibition" was illegal. But I would have to agree, they meant inhibition by the listed actions, thus, only old school (2003? back) defense is prohibited by this update.
