Big Bang Theory FIRST!

1 Attachment(s)
Did anyone notice this while watching the latest episodes of Big Bang Theory? The LEGO MMS model of the NASA spacecraft displayed proudly on Howard Wolowitz's top shelf was a creation of FRC team 2614! Mountaineer Area RoboticS made the model for NASA, and then BBT wanted one of their own.

Seriously, how cool is it to be seeing FRC paraphernalia in Howard's bedroom?

IDK, that's a fuzzy shot. Looks shopped, and I'm only saying this because I've seen quite a few shops in my time. ;)

Aside from that, unless my bad eyes are lying, that's a pretty cool find!

I got home from robots about ten minutes after the show ended...darn.

But it sure is neat! about as neat as seeing the Woz on the show last year, wearing a watch my brother made :)

It's not photo-shopped. You can see it in several scenes in the show but the best shots are from around 19:00 to 19:20. It's sitting on the second from the top shelf.

Here's a video of the model itself in production. It also makes it a little easier to recognize in the show :)

For anyone that wants further evidence, here's a link to NASA's website, where they posted an article about our achievements. Worth checking out! :)
