Bumper Fabric Selection
 

Another bumper question:

I notice that there is no mention of a specific fabric recommendation in this year's game rules, just that it should be a rugged, smooth cloth.

I know that the 1000 D Cordura meets the requirement nicely. Has anyone used other materials with success? Does a broadcloth hold up? Denim? Another nylon selection?

In a lot of fabric stores it's called "Duck Cloth" and it's usually hidden in the back of the store.

We've used lighter cordura without problems. We have also used heavy cloth from the fabric store - not sure exactly what it was, but I'd call it canvas, as it was much heavier than denim.
