Camera Installation
 

We are trying to update/install the Axis 206 camera. We follow the steps in the manual on "How to Configure Your Camera," on page 27 of the Control System Manual. We can't run the automatic Camera Configuration Tool, because we need to reset the Username and Password. So, we're following the Manual Configuration steps. We get to step 6, and we can see a camera image on the Axis 206 Camera utility. When we hit "Setup" on step 7, it says "Authentication Required", and asks for a User Name and Password. We've tried root/pass, FRC/FRC, frc/frc, admin/admin, and please/work for username and password, and none of them work. So, we're stuck. Any ideas?

When entering the config web page the first time, the camera would not have had a password for root and asks for it. Whoever configured the camera set the password. I tend to use root:admin.

If you cannot determine the password, do a factory reset on the camera by holding reset button while powering up the camera (hold until the amber light comes on).

Then browse to the camera's default IP of 192.168.0.90. Set the password and login.
