Shooter wheels

Hi all,
Quick question. What would be the difference between using a 6inch or 8inch wheel for a single wheel shooter?
Besides weight [we plan to add some weight either ways].

I assume with the 6inch the balls will go a bit slower but would this be negligible?

The 6 unch wheels won't go "slower" so to speak, they will just have a smaller rotation than the larger 8 inch wheels. one rotation for the 8 inch wheel is larger than one rotation for the 6 inch wheel.

However, we've found some great success with 6 inch wheels, so try both. Do it right and you have a winning design. ;)

try both and see what works. I would recommend a 6 inch wheel, as it makes for a more compact shooter and the lighter weight means it takes less time to get back up to full speed between shots. But honestly just prototype both and see which one you prefer.

Those are the reasons why we are considering doing a 6inch wheel. Since the 8incher is a bit big.

Well I guess that is the best way to find out. :p

really the main reason not to use an 8 inch (in my opinion) is the size. Our team has a flywheel shooter with 4 inch AM performance wheels , which makes for a relatively compact shooter.
