Note* We apologize for any spamming-type behavior. This will be corrected shortly. Thank you. :)

Hey there.

I have a real treat for you guys. The FIRST robotics competition is on for this year, and we are hard at work designed one for the 2012 Rebound Rumble competition.Team 871 has come with an amazing design for amazing driving and maneuverability of any robot. Using a gyroscope to center the robot according to the location of itself to the drive station, and having two sonar sensors built right on to the robot, the robot can utilize holonomic mech wheels to freely rotate and speed the robot which way the driver would like in a perfectly accurate direction.

If you would like to contact Team 871, please first visit our website at

Can you do the same thing on carpet?

Other than that, looks good!

The only limitation in terms of surface are with the wheels, and the holonomic wheels work on the carpet rather nicely.
