Drive chains legality?

Ok so we are using a mecanum drive on a wide bot. [] like that We have supports welded 4.25 inches inside each edge of the frame, basically encasing the mecanum wheels. Now we want the sprocket on our mecanum wheels towards the out side of this setup. So it will be inside the frame perimeter but we were wondering if this would be considered unsafe. Sorry if I spelled mecanum wrong they didn't teach us that in school...

If you're likely to stick your fingers in the chain area, then it could be considered unsafe, and you might want to add some covers. Although I haven't seen too much concern on the part of inspectors about the safety of drive chains, in the past.

That's kind of what I noticed. hum I suppose we could make some plastic guards easy enough.
