http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-0912.htm gearmotor: http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-0914.htm specs are listed for each on those pages, or go to the FRC motor data table: http://www.usfirst.org/sites/default...torInfo4.1.pdf |
Re: AndyMark motor question
The motor is just a motor. The gearmotor is a motor and a planetary gearbox (also called a transmission) bolted to it that greatly reduces the speed, and increases torque.

Re: AndyMark motor question
To further complicate things, the AndyMark "Motor" (AM-0912) linked above is not the "Motor" on the AndyMark Gearmotor combo.
Aye... It looks like a Banebots http://banebots.com/pc/MOTOR-BRUSH/M5-RS775-12 motor is the actual one (based on the specs) that is pre-installed on the Andymark Gearmotor. That ALSO said, the Andymark "Motor" (AM-0912) can be also be used in place of the Banebots motor on the AM-0914 assembly. I've hypothesized this by reading the motor stats & am waiting for someone to disprove this theory... Any takers? |
