Re: 2012 Peachtree Regional
yea, let's all compete with our utmost Gracious professionalism and play to win, not to make someone else lose!
Our team is probably going to be camping out that practice field a lot to do some tests, just a heads up (we'll leave if someone else needs it, but be warned, we'll need it a lot) :P |

Re: 2012 Peachtree Regional
Hi everyone,
Let's all make a pledge to ourselves to have an awesome time at the Peachtree. Georgia is one of the fastest growing areas in the country with 17 rookie teams at the event. So what does that mean. Let's all go out and see what we can do to help these rookie teams get off to a good start. And it also means that the venue will be 'COZY' !!! And next year we hope to have a bigger venue... But for now let's go have a good time. |

If we have the same growth next year, we may need TWO regionals to accommodate that many teams :ahh: Oh boy, the fun at volunteering at two Georgia Regionals next year would be on epic proportions. |

Re: 2012 Peachtree Regional
Good News,
Even though we have a record number of teams this year, and even though there is going to be a very large military exhibit in the hall, along with an enclosed NASA machine shop, we will again have our full practice field! It will be the same one we used for the scrimmage, with real playing elements. The only concession to the critical space needs is that one end of the practice field may be pushed up a little closer to the wall than we would like, but that should only affect inbounding on one end. See you there! Dr. Bob Chairman's Award is not about building the robot. Every team builds a robot. |

Re: 2012 Peachtree Regional
I'm taking a day trip to check things out on Saturday with some students. Of course I'll be glued in front of a webcast on Friday too. Good luck to all teams. Peachtree is one of my favorite regionals.

Re: 2012 Peachtree Regional
A 1002 alumni will be hosting a programming workshop on Thursday at 4pm. The workshop will be mainly about Real Time operating systems and efficient ways for real time robot programs to run. We have very few seats, so space is limited, but the lecture should be very informative for all team programmers.
We only have 13 spots available for the lecture (The speaker is not comfortable with large crowds). We will have a sign up sheet in our pits. |
Re: 2012 Peachtree Regional
Sorry to say that your defending woodie flowers and Chairmans award team First team 122 will NOT be returning this year. Our home regional is the same weekend as this year Peachtree Regional.

Anyone have a copy of the real match schedule?
Towards the end they said that the released schedule was wrong, and now I'm getting a 404 error on the FIRST page... - Sunny G. |
