Anybody having success with Kinect please list it here

So I have been hearing many questions on how to get their Kinect working, and have not exactly been seeing any successes so please post if you get your Kinect working and maybe a hardware specs and code example/summary.

Our Kinect is working with the samples included in the Java plugins for NetBeans. Our Kinect is just connected directly to the laptop. The laptop had to download drivers, and I believe we installed some sort of Kinect software. (check official documentation...sorry I can't remember exactly what it was) We sometimes need to hit the Kinect refresh button on the Driver Station. In the end, it works, but with awful lag for us.

We Beta Tested the Kinect. Our initial video is on youtube -

We wrote a manual to try to pass on what we learned. We are a LabVIEW team so unfortunately none of the code snippets are in Java. However this does cover the hardware aspects as well as a lot of general tips and lessons. Hope this helps some: http://team1912.com/docs/kinectmanual.pdf

We got it working at the end of Week 1 using Labview. The setup wasn't too bad, but we had to use a fairly good laptop (not the Classmate) due to lag issues and we saw very fast response times using a Tank Drive method.
