What is the safety log?

A friend of mine is the student safety captain for our team (rookie team). she would like to know how to make a student safety training log.

Have her get input from the mentors who work with the machines. Use the safety information provided with them.

She also mentioned something about a safety book/log thing that was needed for the competition. Like i said we are all rookies, except for one mentor, and he said to ask here.

Perhaps she's thinking of recommendations in the FIRST Safety Manual: http://www.usfirst.org/uploadedFiles...ety_Manual.pdf

You can search this document for "log" regarding a training log to keep track of safety training (use of machines, etc.)

Or look for MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).

I have no useful comments. Instead I submit my first thought on reading the title of the thread:

"The safety log is the log people sit on to think about the unsafe act they've just committed."
