Controlling VEX 393 Two-Wire Motors

Is there anyone who knows how to control the VEX 393 motors from the 2012 KoP using the digital sidecar PWM ports? We're looking for bidirectional control, but it was assumed that a Victor/Jaguar could not be used.

Another thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...hlight=393+vex) stated that control would be similar to servo motors, but it's not clear if there's a method of wiring that will allow bidirectional control.

Thanks!

I seem to recall that a VEX Motor controller (or two) was included in your KOP. It's not exactly large in size, IIRC, so you may need to do some digging.

You should have received the motor controller in the KoP.

It is at the top of page 13 here.

I would think that you would control it like any servo (after you attach the vex speed controller) Remember it won't be getting 7.2 volts so downgrade your power rating appropriately...
