Crio II IP Reset Error
 

Hey Teams,
I've been having issues with my teams cRio 2, we got interrupted in the imaging tool putting on the v43 of java, we got a timeout and then the cRio rebooted in safe mode. I tried to re image it after that from multiple IP's like 169.254.xx.yy and 10.xx.yy.2, the imaging tool wont let us change the IP because it says the IP DIP is on but its not on the Imaging tool, any suggestions?

We had this happen to us, as well. Try running the 2012 FRC Imaging Tool in Windows XP Compatibility Mode (if you are on Windows 7). That did the trick for us.

When you are imaging the cRIO, you should use a crossover cable with all other network devices (including wireless) disabled. Use the following settings:
IP Address: 10.xx.yy.1
Subnet: 255.0.0.0
Gateway: 10.xx.yy.2 (the address of the cRIO).

You make it sound like you are setting your computer's IP address to 10.xx.yy.2, which is wrong. If it prompts you that you are running in Safe Mode, after you image it you will need to image it again. This is true for the cRIO v1, I assume it is true for v2 but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
