With Regards & Apologies
 

Hi everyone, I'm the programming mentor for team 871 the "Robotechs" and I wanted to make a post here to acknowledge, and apologize for some abuse of the forums by a couple members of our team.

We've had some pretty exciting work done on our team with regards to our control system, and (even though our number is low) we lost most of our experience over the past two years to graduation and lack of recruitment, that THIS year's team is practically a rookie team.

Due to this some members were extremely excited about the progress we'd been making and decided it would be a good idea to come and showcase it here. That in and of itself, is a great thing, however the way it was carried out is not.

I'd like to apologize to any teams who had their threads hijacked a week or two ago and assure you all that the issue has been dealt with, and we have taught our team members the proper way to use these forums for both information, and bragging rights (lol, lets face it we all do it, I have to admit I'm super impressed with the gearbox design ive been seeing around here (read: Jealous) ) While being respectful to other teams.

So anyway, somewhat longwinded, but I felt it was necessicary. Thanks again everyone, I hope you all have a fantastic season, and we look forward to see you all on the field!
