Cim-Sim vs a Bane Bots 755 cim sim

We have a Bane Bot CIM-U-LATOR Gearbox, 1 RS-775 size motor for our shooter. But I am look at the Cim-Sim from Andy Mark which is going to work better on a ball shooter. I can seem to find any information to compare the two. Rookie team trying to figure out motors.

What is it that you're trying to find out?

The pertinent information is listed on the Andy Mark Website. For instance, a 775 won't fit on a Cim-Sim without modification of the gearbox.

Have you decided a distance you'd like to shoot, decided on a wheel or roller size, decided on a gear ratio that will get the wheel size you've chosen to output speed to get the distance you want, then determined which motors are required? Do you have the machining knowledge to modify a Cim-sim to work with 775 motors? Do 775 motors through a Cim-sim get you the torque and speed you want?

In order to answer this question, we need to know a few things.

1) what are the specs of your shoooter (wheel size, # of wheels, exit velocity expected, etc)

2) What is your machining capability (775s don't mate with Cim-Cims)

3) what performance are you expecting

If you want the results of a CIM motor for your shooter I recommend using a Banebot P60 with your RS-775. 4:1 reduction should give you the same freespeed as a CIM moto
