Question

Can I wire the fan of a Victor independently, or with the power wires of a motor?

Re: Question

We soldered the fan wires directly to the victor power wires then screwed them to the terminals.

Re: Question

Best practice is to power the fan from the power input wires to the victor

[R58-D] The supplied fans attached to speed controllers may be powered from the power input terminals.

If by independently you mean a separate power source, then no, that is illegal per R36.

Re: Question

And the fan must certainly NOT be wired to the output terminals of the victor
