Issues with serial and CAN

So I'm having issues after one of my attempts at imaging the black jaguar... I'm now receiving errors that I can't connect to the com port. http://i.imgur.com/sgcLO.png <--- hopefully someone can make heads or tails of how to fix this =) (I'm using a trendnet TUS9 USB to serial adapter)

Did you make your own DB9 serial cable? If so, the first thing I would suspect is if the cable is made correctly.
