RoboProm was alot of fun last year. As an added bonus, the floor deflects with the beat of the music. I guess thats what happens with all kinds of jumping students :P

Question: Do Event volunteers count as advisers?

(I am not officially affiliated with any team this year due to various reasons)

How long does it take for the tickets to sell out? Has there always been tickets available at the doors in St.Louis? or have they sold out before then?

I'll be sending this to my team! :)

I'm seconding Larry's question. I've never attended champs with a team, but have gone to Atlanta in 2010, and St. Louis last year, and hope to attend again this year.

According to their post last year the intent is to allow chaperones attend for free. If not chaperoning students, they have previously requested for all roboprom goers to pay admission.

As the popularity of RoboProm grows it is a bit hard to gauge how fast tickets will sellout. We have always had tickets available at the door and in the pits but I suggest you get your ticket early if you want to guarantee a spot. :)

Question: What are the rules on T-shirt suits? They don't like them at the actual prom, so...
And do robots need to pay? :p

A few people from my team (myself included) wore t-shirts last year without a problem. I wasn't planning on going to Roboprom beforehand so I simply didn't have anything better to wear. Most people are wearing something nicer, but you won't be alone if you just wear a t-shirt.

and +1 on your sig... same here :P

Last year several people on my team dressed in suits that were far too small/very old and not considered 'fashionable' by today's standards. And nobody had a problem with that :p

It's no big deal if you wear a T-shirt. Some people just like to dress up for the dance. My FAVORITE choice of clothing to see is definitely all the costumes :D
