Isn't octocanum just drop-down Mecanums?

If you don't mind me asking (cuz I'm totally gonna steal your drive train idea with 1 week to go), why won't you be pushed around?

I just checked the robot rules; I see nothing against them.

EDIT: Andrew beat me to it :s

Does it fit within the $80 dollar part limit?

(I have a feeling that's for OCCRA not FIRST)

I don't think so. And I thought you couldn't spend more than $400 for any one item. The wheels are for use in many applications, and they are FIRST legal. I've checked. :) IDK, but I think those are smaller than 254's 3.5" wheels. ;)

The $80 is from another competition that we competed in at the end of 2011.

Thanks so much! We can't wait to see all our friends especially 1710! ;) We are so excited to play again and are so pumped to compete. What are you guys doing with your robot?? :yikes:

Also, thanks frasnow!

Unfortunately our team switches which regional we go to every year, this year's being up in Chicago. So we won't be competing with you guys :(. However I do believe we are volunteering up at KC. So we will be able to chat and see how its going :D. Our bot is much like the other shooters that have shown up on CD so nothing special. It will really come down to practice of the drivers and reliability of the robot. So we'll see how it works out. Can't wait to see ya guys ;D.
