Awesome job! I love it for two main reasons. I think it's incredibly simple, and incredibly consistent.

Even though you are shooting in the low goal I think if you can grab 8 point in auto, add a 5-6 points during TeleOp and then be good at balancing you will do well at your regionals. Also, your robot is DONE with a week to go, your drivers will be better for it. Can't wait to watch you guys all year. Keep up the good work.

Really interesting design. I suspect that it will be wildly more successful than the majority of teams that have shooters for the top hoop who just end up missing every shot or at least 1/3. Good luck to you guys in 2012 and I look forward to seeing how this works out for you guys.

The numbers on the front of the bumpers have to be on the same side. I saw it in the Q&A that the numbers cannot be seperated. I dont remember which one. Just a heads up. Nice robot though!

This is the Q&A:
Quote:

Q. We are deciding to use a square U frame. So, we have to split the 4th bumper into 2 sections. Because of this, we can't decide how to place "3490" on our Bumper. Should we place the 4 numbers on 1 side, or should we split 34 and 90 across the Bumper. R35 doesn't explain how to handle this situation. FRC3490 2012-01-13
A. Per [R35] team numbers must be "clearly visible from a distance of not less than 100 ft, so that judges, referees, and announcers can easily identify competing Robots." Thus they may not be obscured in any way (disconnected, out of order, rotated, upside-down, mirror imaged, etc).

What do they mean about this? I figure if they can look from the front they will see 6 1. I did not see you had a limit to the space between your numbers.

I order more numbers so I can put 61 on both sides if we have to.

Re: Team 61 Final Robot

Responses in Q and A not long ago specifies that you can only have exactly 4 team number placements, one on each side of the bot and you may not split your number either (thanks Eric for pointing this out in past thread).

The Van door motor. Very good for doing this.
