Team 1002 CircuitRunners Preview 1

Introducing the first preview of Team 1002's (CircuitRunners') robot:

The shooter is not mounted yet, but we're working on it. The drive train consists of 4 6-inch meccanum wheels (I preferred 6wd, but you can't have everything T_T). We used 6061 1/4" thick Aluminum Alloy plates for the drive panels, 1010 T-slot framing system for the physical frame, the conveyor system is being assembled off screen, and the shooter is powered by two FP motors in a CIM-sim gearbox.

Hopefully we can get everything assembled friday and spend Saturday and Sunday at the Scrimmage hosted by Kimberly Clark.

:D Can't wait to see this guy rolling!

Hopefully it will. (though I never got to see that robot perform). We sort of modeled the shooter after the 2006 robot, though the conveyor system is much different: Polycord with pulleys instead of pvc rollers. Also I think this robot will be a tad bit shorter than the 2006 one. If it works, i want to call it AI, because the robot performs vector calculus and it will be short but shoot well (Allen Iverson anyone?) :D

Still saying D-Rose, Griffin, or Wade. I would say Jordan, but Simbotics has acquired the name already........
