Bumper problem?

How have teams with a hole (to gather balls) in the front of their frame attached bumpers to the left and ride sides? There are a bunch of bolts in the way that holding the corner of the frame together in the way of the U channel, so our piece of u channel wont slide over the U channel already on the frame, and therefore won't be able to secure the bumper in place.

Our frame looks like this, with the hole in the front.

We put vertical sections of square tubing in the corners, with L brackets on the bumpers. Sink a rivet nut or pem nut into the tubing, and bolt the L bracket to it when you put the bumpers on. We have additional C-channel that slides over the frame more in the middle to help keep everything stable.

Thanks, but what if my rookie team doesn't necessarily have any square tubing? And approximately how thick does it have to be (or how thick was your teams tubing) in case we go out and buy it at, say, Home Depot? Not positive if we do or not, probably don't. Your team's square tubing is steel/aluminum right? We should at least have L brackets and rivets though. :)

In our rookie year, we put some of these in our bumper wood and put bolts in through them (so that the bolt head was inside the bumper). Then we put the bolts through the c-channel and used wing nuts to secure. This was a very easy way to do it.

Thank you, I'll have to try one of those ways with my team.
