Rule [G21] What Counts as an Appendage?

1 Attachment(s)
According to rule [G21]

I get the understanding that in order for two seperate appendages to vcount as one they must be connected in someway. So lets say we have to wedges to push down the bridge. If they are connected by the pneumatic tubing that powers them would that pass inspection or not. Our team would just try to run a rod between the two but it is almost impossible to do because of our ball elvator.

Thanks in advance and best wishes.

The two pieces must be contiguous outside the frame perimeter. From the picture (which is VERY low quality, a higher quality would be better, if you have one) it looks like there is nothing physically holding the wedges together outside the frame perimeter, so I would not pass this if I were an inspector.

While this is not borne out by the Q & A, I believe some kind of hard mechanical coupling is what they would be looking for. A piece of pneumatic or surgical tubing likely would not suffice. A hard coupling ensures they can only move as one unit.

Note that while you are in the process of deploying your appendage, the connecting part can be inside the Frame Perimeter. The appendage has to be contiguous outside the Frame Perimeter once it is fully deployed.
