Solenoid and Spike
 

I had the Solenoid and spike all hooked up correctly and the programming for relay. When I pushed the correct button that was programmed, the spike clicked every time i touched it but the solenoid did nothing.

Does that mean there is something wrong with the solenoid?

Is this a pneumatic solenoid valve, or an electric solenoid?

Some solenoid valves have diodes and are directional. You might try reversing your wires and see if that fixes things. Or check to make sure your pneumatic plumbing is correct.

If it's an electric solenoid, make sure it's a 12V DC solenoid. Anything else is unlikely to work.
