Height to lower pole?

I was wondering what the exact height is from the floor to the bottom pole (under the troughs, the one a robot needs to be under if it doesn't want to go over the ramp). I heard 2.5' before, but I don't know if that measurement was to the middle of the pole or the bottom. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Brian,

Look in grid C-6 of the document http://www.usfirst.org/2000comp/Docs...01-A-page2.pdf and you will see that the height is 30 inches from the BOTTOM of the bar to the floor.

Having said that, it is advisable to always leave a wide design margin when dealing with FIRST specs.

FIRST specified a tolerance of 1 inch for the height of the bar. Better not design you robot any taller that 29 inches if you want to get under the bar

First ALWAYS specifies +/- 1 inch... :-)
