Congratulations to 131, 58, and 1831, and to 1058 for the Chairman's Award. All you have have been solid teams for many years and the win is well deserved.

Does anyone have video of the awards? My father won the Volunteer award, but neither he nor any of my family were there (and the webcast wasn't working :( ). I don't think he's going to believe it until he sees video!

Wow. I've never lost 4 Victors at once, even in my rookie year with 1519, when we wired a battery backwards and tried to power up the robot - during inspection.

Word has it that there's video of the finals floating around somewhere. If that is produced, I'll happily provide the links here.

Wanted to congratulate Jack and the crew on 2791 for their run to the finals.

Bravo, Jack. You worked extremely hard this year and I am so glad to see it pay off for you. You deserve it.

Thank you for informing the masses; some of us had grown quite interested in what had happened. In a weird coincidence, our dinner conversation post-regional came upon how our team could only recall ever seeing one victor fail compared to the uncountable number of jaguars we've gone through.

I've got to congratulate 131, 58, and 1831. Final 2 you guys really turned on the jets there. 1519, 2791, and 885, you played awesome. That was a swift run to the finals.

As an alum of 1058, I'm happy to see the team get the Chairman's. The team has been working hard on getting itself to this position the last few years, and some great team members have made huge contributions to this goal, both past and present. This team has a good history, we've pretty much seen every side of the ball there is to see. I look forward to seeing this team keep going strong and growing like it has.

Congratulations to 1058 on their RCA and teams 131, 58, and 1831 on their GSR win! The repeatability of 131's and 58's scorers was really cool, and I especially enjoyed watching 58's hybrid mode all tournament!

But I also believe many thanks are in order for teams 1519, 885, and our good friends 2791. Up until I saw your alliance play this weekend, I hated this game. It was the same thing every match and no alliances tried to switch up their strategy and play some New England Defense! It was frustrating seeing such a strategically stagnant rather than dynamic game. After seeing you guys play the game the way it should be played, I only hope that we continue to see many more alliances THINK about what they are doing and following a strategy (e.g. Not just you score here, we score there, and you...idk). You guys were truly dominant as an alliance thanks to good robots, great strategy, and amazing driving. 2791 was THE pick of the tournament, made double balancing look easy, and played effective defense alongside 1519. Unfortunate things had to happen the way they did, but at the end of the day, you proved that defense DOES work in this game.

On behalf of team 131, I'd like to thank our alliance partners, teams 58, and 1831. You guys were absolutely fantastic to work with, and did everything we could have ever asked for.

Congrats also to the PVC Pirates on Chairmans.

To the alliance of 1519, 885, and 2791, you guys were amazing. Some hard fought defense and great auto really made them an absolute force in this game. I'm sad that a Victor problem kept 2791 out of Match 3, but you all should be very proud of your accomplishments. Congrats!

We did once. We got bit by the bug in 2008 that if the radio lost signal it would latch onto the last received packet for up to a second before fail safing. We were driving in the school autoshop, and the undercarriage of a nearby vehicle just so happened to be at MOSFET level. Fastest I've never seen $800 disappear!

Congrats to 131, 58, and 1831 on the win, it's nice to see a Maine team with a blue banner. A close second for 1519, 2791, and 885 -- having had the opportunity to play with 1519 many times in the past and working a little bit with 2791 this season I think we'll hear from then again. Also great to see the PVC Pirates win the RCA, I still remember their robot from my rookie year before they were even called the PVC Pirates!

Congratulations from Team 885 to teams 131, 58, and 1831 for your great win. They were exciting matches to matches to watch - very enjoyable.

And many thanks to our alliance partners, 1519 and 2791. I don't think I've ever seen such good cooperation on any alliance in my many years at first. And we almost did it! You made it fun.

Being in the playoffs and in the finals was more than we dreamed could be possible. When we "finished" the bot at 11:58 pm on that Tuesday there were some very anxious thoughts among our team. But it came together and worked. A very happy year for us.

Thanks again to the winning alliance and our alliance partners for moments we will always remember.

Congratulations 131, 58, and 1831 as well as 1519, 2791, and 885 you guys were the cream of the crop by the end of the weekend!

Congratulations to our neighbors 1058 on winning your RCA!!!

Thanks to our partners 3609 and 133 we tried hard but it just wasn't enough! ;)

Sadly our robot never performed up to par this weekend as our arm decided to quit halfway through our matches with no symptoms but we finally got things worked by the end of Friday but at that point we had spent 5 matches doing nothing and fell drastically behind!

We're looking forward to Hartford and should have more tricks up our sleeves!

Having some time to relax and think about the weekend, it was probably my proudest moment as a mentor of 1493 in my 6 years. The students on our team really stepped up this year by welding, machining, programming, and assembling our entire robot this year.

I big thanks goes out to teams 95 +716 for selecting us to be your partners in elims. It was great working with you but even better getting to meet your teams.

Fellow NY's team 20 + 2791 thank you for all the support and kind words. I dream of one day having a capital district alliance win a regional.

I also was not a big fan of the game until elims. and seeing teams like 1519 play great defense and much more strategy in the matches made it very exciting.

We are excited to finally be doing a second regional and are looking forwards to adding a few adjustments and be even stronger in Hartford.

On behalf of AIR Strike 78, I would like to thank teams 175 and 3323 for a great run into the semifinals. What a great group of coaches, mentors, and students to work with.

I was very excited to see all the teams on the winning alliance take down the regional win. CHAOS wins their first regional in 12 years, and it couldn’t go to a better group of mentors and students.

Riot Crew won the first BAE Systems GSR back in 2003. How fitting that they win it again on the tenth anniversary. We see them every year sitting next to us in the stands and just a few spots down in the pits. They are a great example of a hard working and professional team.

Also, congrats to 1831 for their first regional win and to the PVC Pirates for winning Chairman’s.

I also want to thank the volunteers that ran the BAE Systems Granite State Regional. It was the best run regional event I have been to in my 12 years of FIRST. The schedule was followed almost to the minute. All the volunteers – FTAs, refs, judges, queuers, inspection – everyone - was extremely professional and pleasant to work with. I look forward to participating in the 2013 GSR and working with this crew again.

AIR Strike is eager to compete at the Boston regional. See you there!

PS: Is there match footage available anywhere?

From the little time I had to look at it, it was a problem at either the digital side car or the crio level. Good luck fixing it! If you need any help, Team 20 is more than happy to lend a hand.

Thank you guys, your help is greatly appreciated.
I would also like to thank 1519 and 885. The strategy that was drawn up really displayed all of our strengths as a whole. Congratulations to 131, 58, and 1831. You worked hard and it definitely showed. Congratulations to team 1058 for winning the Chairman's Award.

As many have said: Congratulations to 131, 58, and 1831 from 885 on your win and making the GSR so exciting and thrilling right to the end. What a great regional! One the best that I can remember: on schedule, reliable field equipment operations, excellent competition, great kids and mentors, and super volunteers, all in spite of the snow and ice of Manchester, NH's winter weather. Loved the Londonderry HS marching band too. Every time I think about FIRST I smile. And to think we were one win away from going to St Louis. So close, but no cigar.

Thanks special thanks to 1519 for including 885 in their alliance. Thanks to our other alliance member 2791. Our alliance had a great strategy and were doing great winning the first match of the finals 49 to 26 until 2791 had a catastrophic failure of 4 Victors in the second match. Inquiring minds are on alert as to what caused the failure. Was it a collision with the bridge or ....? Anybody got a video?

Imagine that 1519's robot was made in a basement by homeschoolers. A very good accomplishment. Special thanks to our team with a lot of rookies who worked together as a team and made it work. A very smooth operation all round. Good experiences for all!
