Hey Ellen, are you able to check if I've registered for the luncheon yet? I don't remember doing so, but I can't seem to find any information about it.

Team 3467 is extremely excited to be attending our first CT regional! Anyone else staying at the Marriot and know of some good, quick food places extremely close to the venue?

Attached is a photo of our robot The Panzer! See everyone in a week!

Welcome to CT! I promise it'll be one of your best regional experiences!

As for food, there is a restaurant attached to the Marriot, but not a whole lot less than 2 blocks away, except a couple bars.

List of restaurants near the Hartford Marriott

Oddly enough, even though I live pretty close to Hartford, I can't say I'm all that familiar with the dining scene. I've heard good things about Black Eyed Sally's, but I'm not sure if that fits into a regional schedule well.

...wow, I feel awful that I can't name a restaurant that fits your description. I guess that's what I get for being spoiled with good food closer to home.

I know the feeling, I'm the same way... I know the bar scene mostly from friends visiting them all the time(never actually been downtown for drinking or anything), but I can't say much at all about the dining scene.

Black Eyed Sally's is a bit of a hike but worth it. There are a lot of nice restaraunts in that area.

City steam (A brew pub, with a large restaruant) has a nice reasonably priced menu a couple blocks away.

I reccomend Salute! for Italian which is on Bushnell park, might be too pricey for ateam though.

Other reasonable places further from the Marriot (~4 block)
Burger Baby, a gourmet burger bar.
The Tavern Downtown.
Agave, Mexican.

The big problem with the lower priced places is they tend to be small and primarily bars.

Check out hartford.com for ideas. Don't forget Arch Street Tavern - I *think* you can order takeout. It's within a couple of blocks of the venue.

Not sure where the current team list within this thread was taken from, but 869 is not included on it...regardless, 869 is coming to the CT Regional for the second year and looking forward to it! This competition has become a favorite among our team members and we can't wait! See everyone in a few days!

You're on the pit map. Always a good sign.
CT FIRST has a lot of information posted now. somewhere in this vicinity. The legend says pits are 12x12. Is that a gross of square feet? The black things in the aisles are roof support columns, I think. There is one smack in the middle of one aisle. Do they draw these on autopilot?

Also repeating last year's mis-labeling of team's path to competition field. Unless they're going to reverse the flow this year. Queuing area is not drawn, so your guess may be as good as mine. One safety classes station is correctly placed. the other is shown too far into the pit area to do much good.
