Chairman's Award Video Software

Any one have an opinion on the best software to use for editing video for the chairman's award... we were thinking of Sony Vegas Pro and Cinema 4D. Is there a standard used around the FIRST community.

A video is only as good as it's content. It doesn't matter if it is edited in iMovie, Vegas, Avid, or Final Cut.

If I were you I wouldn't waste money on a "better" program if students haven't taken a class in how to properly use it, as it will likely add little to the content being delivered. People may talk bad about iMovie and Movie Maker but they get the job done and allow your team's funds to be used elsewhere.

It's really about what you're used to.
I am familiar with Adobe After Effects, so I use it. It's very user friendly, yet professional. Sony Vegas is also a great program. It can let you throw together a great video in no time.
