Scoring Poblems

At the Hatboro competition on at least two occasions the 3 point goal counted/scored two balls as one and it changed the outcome of the quarter final 2-2 match. Was it set up wrong, is there a calibration that was done incorrectly or is it a design flaw. Did any other competitions experience this?

I saw the exact same things. Except I noted a couple of other errors too:

- two balls were scored in a basket simultaneously in autonomous, the balls were not unjammed by field crew until after auto was over and the alliance was never awarded the 3 bonus points for each ball. This was in the elims.

- a penalty was called against the blue alliance for touching a red robot in the key. Blue was awarded 3 points, a 6-point swing in total. This was during qualifications.

I WILL NOT blame referees for this and tell say they need to do better at regionals to come, because honestly, I think making them do real time score changes while also reffing the game is a lot to ask.

Everyone should know that honest errors will be made through the season and we need to be accepting. I can see why FIRST went with a live scoring method (to speed up the game and reduce arguments) but maybe they will reevalluate this one next year.

Also at H-H I heard that they redid a match in the finals due to balls jamming in the basket.

At HH, there were five, possibly six, balls in the top net. A volunteer tried unjamming it with the pole, but it didn't work and the match was redone.
