What is the procedure for loading the robot in on Wednesday night? And when can we open the bag to get the robot out?

If you bagged your robot, I believe the system is the same for all places as it is in Michigan. Once you unload, you can ask a inspector to sign off on your lock/unlock form, and only once he is finished signing, you unbag and work on the robot.

Get in contact with your event as it is different depending on where you go. The Granite State Regional's procedure is that you load in and have the inspector sign off on your bag and unload tools into your pit and then leave everything and come back the next morning to un-bag, setup your pit, and work on your robot.

That is probably correct. MI unloads on Thursday, so we're allowed to work. I'm not sure specifically for places that load in on Wednesdays.

All the teams here got specific instructions. The intention is for teams to find their pit space, place their bagged robot and tools in the pit space, and depart. No plugging in batts, no unbagging. 5 people max & one needs to be an adult. The list was long.
Your Regional event should have specifics.

This is what we had at KC, too. Inspectors were there to verify your paperwork; if you took the time walking in for us to check your tag & sign off your form you were allowed to unbag & start working on your robot as soon as the pits opened on Thursday. If you didn't get your paperwork done on Wed you had to wait to find us or us to find you.

Bottom line -- make sure you know what *your* event is planning. Don't guess based on anyone else's experience at some other event.
