Re: MadStream -- FRC Webcast Portal

I Don't Always Watch Multiple Webcasts - But when I do, I prefer Madstream.

Watching Boston, MidBest, Ohio and Waterloo. Life is great.

Eugene, how hard would it be to add the ability to full screen any cast within the browser window? I can't really fullscreen to the size of my monitors all the time but would like to make the portal bigger...

I'm glad you're enjoying it. (:

I'll look into that feature. You do know about "single view," right?

I am able to get the split screens and menus but there is no video feed. The scores are showing on the bottom

I do, but then I have to have 4 different windows/tabs open and I'm lazy. I like having 4 or 6 windows open then full screening for a good match at a certain event...

Does each split screen say "Drag and drop an event from the 'Events' menu to assign it to this screen. Please press F11 for fullscreen experience."? Or does that disappear?

Can you watch directly on Ustream? For example: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/first-...orado-regional

You have Flash, right?

Re: MadStream -- FRC Webcast Portal

Update:

- Event standings have now been integrated into the MadStream experience.

- We've also added direct links to MadStream to make sharing easier! This will allow you to link to MadStream with a webcast preloaded in one of the screens. Just add "/?[event code]" to the end of the URL. For example, if you want to share the Silicon Valley Regional [SJ], just type http://madstream.team1323.com/?sj. Note that this only works with regionals whose webcasts are listed on MadStream for a given week.

As usual, please let us know of links to webcasts that aren't yet on MadStream!

Thanks, and happy viewing!

South Florida's Webcast will be here:

http://www.wpi.edu/news/firstregiona...-livefeed.html

or

http://media.wpi.edu/Admin/Events/Li...otics-Live.asx for the actual stream.

Nine week 5 events are up on MadStream!
If you have any links to webcasts, please let us know!

Re: MadStream -- FRC Webcast Portal

Suggestions:

- The ticker at the bottom is great. Can you make it so that if you click on the ticker it brings up the match detail? This would be similar to the www.watchfirstnow.com Match Results, displaying the Hybrid, Tele, Bridge, and Foul Point for the specific match.

- A button to swap the selected screen with the main screen. It would be great if you could unmute the selected screen and mute the swapped screen with the same press of the button.

Keep up the great work.

When you hover of one of the webcasts, this icon appears in the top right:

Code:

which you can click on to drag and swap webcasts between the different views.

I understand that ... but I am just plan lazy. The mute and unmute function is what I would really like.

The ticker idea is great. I'll implement it as soon as I can.

I'll look into the button swap suggestion. It's a good idea I just don't know if I can control justin.TV or ustreams player.
