Congratulations to 365, 2590, and 816 on the District Win.

The elimination rounds were really fun to watch, even from Blacksburg.

Edit:
Congratulations to 433 on winning the Engineering Inspiration Award!

And an even bigger congratulations to 2590 for earning the District Chairman's Award. You guys are truly an inspiration!

Just returned home a few minutes ago. Exhausted and mentally drained, but it was quite a weekend.

On behalf of myself and 1712 I would like to thank and congratulate the following:

Thank you to our alliance partners 1089 and 25. It's always a pleasure to work with Team Mercury. Both in the eliminations last year in DC when I was a surrogate member of 116 and this year with 1712. You guys are a class act. Raider Robotics has always been a source of inspiration for Dawgma's designs and we have tremendous respect for you guys, your program, and your robots. It was awesome to work with you guys and we really hope we get the opportunity to do so again in the future. The results were obviously not what any of us wanted, and we're all beating ourselves up in hindsight. We're sorry that we weren't able to execute the designed strategy, but sometimes things go awry. I'd love to be able to do it all over again sometime. Best of luck at your next event.

To our quarterfinal opponents (2191, 1391, and 1370). You guys did an excellent job executing your strategy and throwing us off of our game. You truly deserve an immense amount of credit. You were not an alliance to be taken lightly.

To the champions (365, 2590, 816), it was a thrill to play with and against you guys throughout the weekend, and no alliance was able to execute as well top to bottom as you three. Even when things went wrong, you still managed to find a way to win. It felt a little weird not being against MOE or with Anamoly in the quarter-finals after the past few years, but given our interactions in the past we couldn't be more thrilled that you guys took home gold medals. Especially to 2590, who managed to win Chairman's as well. After seeing and interacting with you guys last year, I knew you were going to be a team to watch in the MAR region. And you went far beyond that this year. Congratulations on back-to-back wins and a district chairman's award. It's great to see a new rising force in the region.

To our friends, 272. Pity we didn't get a match together as alliance partners this weekend, but it was great to see you guys again. Wish we could have paired up in eliminations again, but we're kind of glad we got a year off from facing MOE in the quarterfinals. ;)

To the event hosts, 1647 and 2729. Both of your teams are incredible and something special is going on in the Lenape region. You did an excellent job running the event, and it's definitely one we hope to attend again in the future.

Of course, thanks to all the volunteers and event staff for making it a great weekend.

To Carol Perrotto, sorry if one comment I made after our last qualification match came out the wrong way. When I said "did you see..." I wasn't intending to question your (or any of the ref crew's) ability. I don't think you took it the wrong way, but it's been bugging me since. I'm always pleased to see you as a member of the ref crew at any event I attend, since I know it will be a well officiated event.

Thanks to all the teams who came out to the Lenape District Event!
Especially to our alliance partners teams 316 and 272, we all did our best!
And congrats to the winners!

Everyone is so relieved that the event went as well as it did.
I will make sure all the people who helped this event run as smooth as it did know that you all enjoyed it. :D

Additionally, I know that slips were given out to all the teams in the pits to collect comments on the event. If anyone wants to give any other feedback, positive or negative, it would be greatly appreciated as we would like to host another event if possible.

Everyone rocked this weekend!
Yet, I have a feeling I need to sleep for a week now :P

To Puzio and 1647,

I don't recall seeing any slip in our pits, but I have to say you guys did a great job, and once the ball was rolling, it went incredibly smoothly. I had a tremendous time, and the teams all seemed excited and energetic. It's fantastic to see home-grown talent helping run these events -- I feel it has the potential to make our community stronger.

There were some individual glitches that threw us for a loop for a bit, in inspection and with our initial set-up, but that sort of thing could happen at ANY event, and while I got more upset about it than I should have, it was very minor. Apologies to anyone that I may have offended (Particularly Brian L and Chris N).

Only suggestion I would have made is to have a broader selection of food, but I left fed and happy, so it's only a minor detail.

And now to the rest,

To our alliance partners, 25 and 1712, it was a thrill to be with you guys, and I wish we could've "figured it out". It was a great experience, though, and nothing but love and respect for your teams. Two years in a row playing with a Lavery team! :P

I want to also personally give a huge digital high-five to teams 2180 and 2191 -- you guys have come a long way, too, and was thrilled to see how well you did. It makes me smile to see our neighbors do so great!

I'd mention 2590, but I made a whole thread for them.. All I have to say is -- holy crap, they took home ALL THE THINGS.

Also kudos to 365 and 816 for winning with 2590, and to 433 for EI!

I am not exactly sure who the review forms were given to.
All I know is that people kept bringing them to our pit and handing them to us.
That is why I was wondering what people were thinking.
Not everyone may have gotten to input.

Sean - no problem at all; I understood perfectly what you meant. And thanks for the nice words - Dawgma is one of the nicest teams around and I always love seeing them on the field!

Great inaugural Lenape FIRST Robotics MAR District Event!

Thanks to the following:

1647 and 2729 for being excellent and gracious hosts. Seneca HS is a great venue for an event like this!

All volunteers - MAR district events would not be possible without the support and efforts of volunteers at all levels.

MAR Board and organization - I know many people have been working hard for a long time to make this distict competition season successful. Thanks to all of you for your hard work.

Teams 2590 and 816 - a truly terrific alliance. We did what we needed to do and came to each other's aid when called upon. Thanks for being our partners!

2590 - Double congrats for winning the Chairman's Award. Well deserved! All the best at the MAR Championship.

433 - Congratulations on your Engineering Inspiration Award! You do so much for so many!

For those competing at Mt Olive, all the best! For those who qualify for MAR Champs and will attend Temple, see you there!

Thanks again to everyone who made the past weekend special.
