FIRST Attendees,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the 2012 FIRST Championship in St. Louis, MO next week. You are receiving this message as you have reserved your hotel rooms through Steele Meetings. We wanted to make you aware of a few items prior to your travels in the upcoming days.

FINALE TICKETS

All Finale tickets will be distributed from the Steele Meetings desk at the America’s Center. We will be located on level one in the Plaza Lobby outside of Hall 3. Please see the following link which will give you a map of the center - http://explorestlouis.com/wp-content...evel1-2011.pdf. All tickets (wristbands) will be distributed from this location and not from the hotels.

The hours of operation for the Steele Meetings desk will be as follows:

Desk hours: Thursday, April 26 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday, April 27 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday, April 28 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

We have reached our capacity for tickets for this event and we will not any additional tickets for sale on site.

HOTEL CHANGES

We will be able to accept changes on the website until Friday April 20, 2012 until 5:00pm EST. After that point any name changes or additions will need to be done with the hotels directly. We will have all confirmation numbers loaded onto the website by the end of the week (most have already been loaded). Please note that we are not open over the weekend and we will not have phone support. We will be monitoring the emails over the weekend and will respond as quickly as possible.

Personally, I liked Atlanta in 2010 better than this year. It might just be because 2010 was my first Championship, but I felt like it was more social than the one in St. Louis, and I talked with a lot more people.

Our team went to the Arch on Saturday evening and were turned away.
Apparently there was an additional "lanyard" that we were required to have that was not alluded to in the communications as far as I can tell.

The weather also dampened the evening activities, so the team remained in the hotel. They were pretty tired after 20 hours of matches.
When I first heard the fireworks, I thought another storm had moved into the area. :ahh:

Fortunately, they got to visit the arch on Sunday morning, but the other activities were a wash. I do wish we had tried to go to the City Museum as I understand that it is tres cool.

Nonetheless, I found the Finale events in Atlanta to be more communal and celebratory.
