Camera Tracking

Have any other teams fried their axis camera while trying to test the camera tracking code that Lab View has pre-made for you?

You should check your robot's wiring, as its highly unlikely that the default Labview camera tracking code fried your camera.

The Axis camera's power needs to be wired to 5v instead of 12v. Wiring the Axis camera to 12v will indeed fry it.

That is what we figured happened but sure enough it was wired to 5V. We have double checked the wiring a bunch of times and we haven't found an error yet. The only thing i could think of is that the PDB output was bad or something. Thanks for the help though

You're also likely to fry the camera if you apply power to it backwards. The center of the connector is the positive terminal; its wire is marked with a white stripe.
