A personal thank you to Glenn for the fresh Hawaiian pineapple and chocolate covered macadamia nuts! What a way to bring Hawaii to Texas!

Congratulations to all of the teams who competed at Lone Star Regional and congratulations to the teams who garnered awards through their hard earned efforts.

I'd like to thank all of the teams that sent representatives to the NEMO meeting that occurred on Thursday. (I drove in for the meeting and had to leave shortly afterward for Austin and work. It was hard to leave, I have to tell you.) Teams, don't forget to watch for information regarding the summer workshops that Allen Gregory and Scott Rippetoe told you about during the meeting. Those workshops provide excellent opportunities for team development and building stronger skills.

A big thank you to the teams that traveled to Lone Star from out of town. You bring the spirit of your communities with you when you compete and it helps to strengthen the Regional community that you are a part of, even for a short amount of time. Many of you leave behind lasting memories as you return home.

On a personal note, I'd like to give a shout out to one of our Senior parents, Lynn Edgerton, who had her rookie experience traveling with the team. She was the only parent to do so this trip and it wasn't easy while dealing with car troubles and lost mentors (me). She is a trooper and I'm thrilled that she was able to experience the Lone Star Regional and traveling with our team. It will provide her with many memories of life with 418.

For me - I'll have memories of a few inspirational visits with mentors and students from the different teams, veteran and rookie - and of the smell of burned out motors. The inspirational visits were all too few and the smell of burned out motors was all too much. :)

Congrats to 359, 118, and 1642 for winning the Lone Star Regional!

We certainly missed the Hawaiian kids in Vegas this year. Glenn and his team are among my favorites in FRC. They spread Hawaiian goodwill everywhere they go and, oh yeah, they build incredible robots year in and out. A highlight from the 2011 Championships for me was seeing them win the CMP Chairman's award. Very deserving.

I, personally, am also very glad that 118 will now be in St. Louis as well. They are one of the teams that I make certain I stop by to admire the craftsmanship, engineering and creativity of their robot designs each of the years I've been fortunate enough to attend the Championships. This year will be no different.

Good luck to all and see you in St. Louis.

Juan Salinas has a recording of the webcast that he's working on cross-coding and uploading to youtube. It's still very much a work in progress, however.

Does anyone have the video for the semifinal match 1, where it views the entire field? I found one but wasn't an overview of the field it was just the midfield. Here's the link of that video http://vimeo.com/40086007.
