1 Attachment(s)
Hello All -

Buzz Robotics 175 will be holding a food drive at the Northeast Utilities Regional in Hartford, CT for the extent of the event.

Please pass by our pits and support the Enfield Food Shelf!

We are in need of:
  • Canned goods
  • Canned or boxed pasta
  • Condiments such as ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper
  • Peanut butter
  • Coffee and tea
  • Baby food
  • Bathroom products such as toothpaste, soap, and deodorant
  • Pet food, preferably canned

Any support will be greatly appreciated.

If any question, please contact me at "vichip@snet.net"

Thank You.

Does Enfield Food Shelf accept monetary donations as well? Team 2410, Metal Mustang Robotics, held a food drive at Greater Kansas City Regional, and we also accepted money from the out of town teams or teams who couldn't bring food items. It went great, and we raised ~$450 or so, and ended up donating 2410 meals to our local food shelf. (It would probably be best for such a low number team like yourself to aim more for 175lbs of donation instead. )

Monetary donations will be accepted but we'd much prefer items. Thank you CalTran. :)

175lbs seems to be a very attractive goal.. and number. ;)

What a great idea!

1511's Team Leader just sent this out to our team by e-mail blast! Hopefully when Rolling Thunder rolls into town on Thursday night, we'll have some donations to bring into the arena on Friday morning!

Have you verified that this is allowed?

On two different occasions, our team tried similar things (food drive, charity drive), and were told by the event organizers in both cases that it was not allowed once they saw the donation boxes in our pit.
