Re: 2012 CAGE Match
Registration has closed for The CAGE Match.
We have 30 veteran teams and our first pre-rookie team 4485 RoboWarriors from Danville Community High School. We have one spot left and I would like to see it filled by another pre-rookie team. |

Re: 2012 CAGE Match
Can a team enter a 2nd bot if they are have already entered a bot?

We are still waiting for final word from a pre-rookie to see if they'll come. If they do, and most signs suggest they will, then we will be at 32 teams which means all teams play in the eliminations (alliances of 4). Any more, and we'll have to get creative to make sure everyone plays. Since one of the primary goals of the event is to give many teams real competition experience before the start of the season, I don't think extraneous robots would be consistent with that goal. |

Re: 2012 CAGE Match
Great event guys! We all had a blast! A special shout out to 3940 for selecting us and giving us a chance to prove ourselves. To 234 for helping us fix our robot and of course helping us secure the win, and lastly 1018 for rounding out our alliance and being such a great pick! We look forward to defending our championship at C.A.G.E Match 2013!

Re: 2012 CAGE Match
Congratulations to the winning alliance of 3940, 234, 3259, and 1018.
Congratulations to Darius Choksy from 1741 for earning the Art Anderson Memorial Scholarship - this year it was worth $1,100. Congratulations to 1747 for donating well over 2,000 items by themselves for the Ronald McDonald House - there were over 4,300 items total. Congratulations to Chris Noble for earning the AndyMark Award of Awesomeness. Thank you to all the students, mentors, and parents of all teams who helped set up, tear down, and volunteer at the event. 1529, 829, 234, 45, and 1741 all played a key role in setup/teardown. Thank you to the folks who were not affiliated with teams who came to help out anyway - I'm looking at you, Renee Becker, Danny Blau, Carolyn Grace, Jason Miller, and Jane Young. Thank you to 829 and 45 for graciously lending their secondary robots to 4485 and 4580, giving them a taste of competition experience as they enter their rookie seasons. As always, please let me know - either here or in private - what you thought went well, and what could be improved. I think there's somebody around here who says these things are iterative ... |
