Baton Rouge Team

I am going to begin my Freshman year at LSU this fall, and I was wondering if there was any team that would let me join as a mentor. I have had 4 years of scouting, pit, and build experience with Team 2068. If anyone could help point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

While I recommend against mentoring your freshman year (focus on college, though you can volunteer at events!), here are your local teams:

3337
3606
3753
3991
4209

I agree with what he has said. I am one of the mentors from 4209 the TigerBytes and I'm also a student at LSU. (going to be a senior in the fall) All of those teams are great teams to be apart of. 4209 is the University Lab High School which is located on campus. I'd say contact those teams and see where you feel you would be most comfortable mentoring, but also able to balance your school work if you really feel you can do school and mentor.

Tigerbytes would be a great team to work with because of their nearness to campus. Check into becoming a paid mentor through LSU's Engineering Department. PM me for more details.

Thanks for all the input and advice. I will take your advice on the not mentoring until junior year, but I will definitely try and volunteer at events. Would I be able to pursue the mentoring through the Engineering Dept even though I am a Biology Major?
