This seems like a vastly better idea than the replay. We get to run our magical triple balance again and it doesn't upset any of the current rankings. Plus the matches would be AWESOME :)!

(I'm also a little biased because I just want to play with 1114/2056 again)

Similar to the MAR vs FiM, each of the various regions could put together their own "regional all-star" alliance for a fun little playoff.

Just imagine, a Texas and West Coast matchup, 1717/254/987 vs 118/148/1477... or maybe you'd like to see 67/469/33 play 1114/2056/188? Oh, the possibilities at IRI  .

However, I fully support placing more emphasis on getting in lots of qualification matches. More matches means better rankings. :D

I would personally like to see a return of the Mentor Match. Not the hokey tournament at lunch time, but a full round of qualification matches (1 match per team) where the robots are operated my mentors, and coached by students. This was a ton of fun back in the day. The role reversal is interesting. Give the students a chance to see what its like to guide the team and alliance, and the mentors a chance to see what its like to take orders and execute a strategy.

I am still undefeated in this (original) endeavor at IRI, when the matches counted.

I want to see which mentor turbo boosts the farthest off the bridge.

Just submitted 2815's application. Not sure if one blue banner for 2012 is enough to get into that dance as a first-timer, but you know what happens when you don't shoot the ball.

If there was a team that deserves a shot at redemption this season I think it should be 829. You guys have a great bot and it was sad that you guys couldn't go to championships.

I still can not find where to submit the application, the last post i see on the IRI website is from yesterday and says stay tuned. Also If regions are making there "all star" alliances they either need to go with their 1st, 2nd, and 24th best robot pair up, or I'd be happy to join the other top 3 Michigan ranked team. 469 and 67 care to join?
